We purchased two of the – a queen sized mattress for my hubby and me, and a complete sized mattress for the 11 year previous son. I noticed that the corners seemed kind of flat compared to the rest of it but decided to wait and give it more time. When I checked it the next morning, it experienced reached the full 12 inches high everywhere but the corners. I knew the insert said it could take a full week for everything to expand so we gave it time.

Sleeping: We slept on the mattresses after 24 hours. My son has had absolutely no complaints. He slept on to the floor for weekly until we could actually take away the old mattress from his mattress and seemed simply as comfy. Our three cats appeared to appreciate it, too.

We’ve been amazed with the mattress. I understood it would probably be firmer than I’m used to but with my back pain, I need a firmer mattress. I don’t get out of bed in the mornings with so much pain that I can barely walk like I used to, so that’s a definite plus. I don’t feel the bed move when my husband comes to bed and I swear, he doesn’t snore as much either. There’s usually at least one cat on the bed at all times and it’s nice not to have the bed shake when they jump up and down.

Downsides: the firmness does take some getting used to. It’s great when I want to sit up in bed and create or knit while watching TV. And while it does sleep hot sometimes, it’s not uncomfortable – but I do sleep with followers on. Even so, I will most likely buy both a gel topper and a ‘pillow top’ topper for some added comfort and ease. It’s totally good without them too, though. My child has had zero issues about his (but again, he’s 11. It’s a mattress to sleep on.). Also, the full mattress didn’t have any of the chemical smell that the queen mattress did. I also didn’t find the smell unpleasant like others have though. It went away within 2 weeks.

The only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is because the corners of the queen mattress in no way expanded fully. They’re about 10 ins and it’s not a big plenty of issue to deal with a return but after seeing the other mattress fully extended, I’d have loved ours to accomplish exactly the same. My nervous about that’s that it’ll reduce the overall lifetime of the mattress.
